I recently bought a new MacBook Air 2020 with a M1 chip. It can flawlessly handle real time stems separating on Serato.
However when I downloaded VDJ it gives me a stems engine error upon startup and is unable to separate stems in real time. My pre saved stems still work fine.
I’m running the most current version of Ventura and the most current version of VDJ. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. I’ve toyed with every setting regarding stems performance with no luck there as well.
Any assistance would be awesome.

A clean installation of Mac OS will probably fix this. Issue is probably when using migration tool
but try to "Disable System Integrity Protection" https://developer.apple.com/documentation/security/disabling_and_enabling_system_integrity_protection

I solved the problem on my MacBook M3 by going to settings and searching for stemsFix. I set it to "Don't use GPU" and the problem went away. No wipe or anything required.
Hope that helps!

Your M3 Mac should reach around x30 Stems analyze speed (1/30 the duration of the Track). Do you see this with the setting as you set ?
