Just a quick message to maybe help people with older controllers to controll stems in a different way?
I looked up the Pioneer FLX10 mapping script for the 3 stem seperation buttons.
I have a DDJ-RX with some un-used buttons on the record/play sample section of the decks.
I then used the script from the FLX10 to map those un-used buttons on my RX.
I used exactly the same 'vocal' isolation script on one, and changed the 'rhythm' word to use 'melorhythm' (which I think is everything else apart from vocal) to the other button.
That now frees up the deck 3 & 4 EQs from being stems control, also the pads too.
This won't work for everyone, but I use channels 3 & 4 for my mics a fair bit.
Hope it helps someone.
If anyone wants it, I'll copy the script on here.
Cheers, Jason

If you just want vocal vs instrumental, there's a VDJ COLORFX that you can assign to the silver DDJ-RX knobs, so you can mix between the two (rather than being a hard on/off).

Oh right!
I thought the colour effects were in my hardware, as Pioneer say it can work as a stand alone mixer.
I'll look at it again, sounds like a good thing.
My thinking was that I would potentially have 4 colour effects & 2 banks of 3 effects all set ready to use at all times if my button idea was helpfull to me.
Thanks again, Jason
