Since its 2024, are a set of Pioneer CDJ 900NXS and a Pioneer DJM 850 still a viable option??
I have a chance to pick up this set for pretty cheap but if its not really an option in 2024 Ill pass on it.

It depends on your goals (what you're planning to do with them)
They are all discontinued products without many bells & whistles, but for the simple functionality they were designed for, they are (and they are going to be) ok.
So, if you "like" what you can do today with them, then you'll be able to do the same in let's say 5 years.
But don't expect any "extra" functionality to be compatible with them.

Yeah I guess, if the mixer was matching I might get it but that's what's throwing me off about the set. I've had the DJM 850 before and it is a great mixer but its not the Nexus lol!!
The players themselves are decent for what they do and I do have to play on CDJs from time to time so those don't bother me. Cheaper then buying a set of 3000's or even 2000's for that matter.
