Topic: Mirroring external hard drive
Does it matter if I use the file operations in VDJ to mirror another external hard drive for a backup or can I simply copy/paste outside of VDJ?

Also Moved all music to external hard drive and everything worked great in main machine. Plugged the external into backup PC and playlists did not update/mirror, is there a setting to overwrite the old VDJ looking at the internal HD of my backup machine to my external HD?

When I moved my music inside of VDJ to an external drive I assumed it would move the DB as well it seems this is not the case. How do I keep the DB on my external to read on multiple computers, move the Document/VDJ DB to the external?

The database has been updated.
Your playlists are NOT part of the database.
VirtualDJ updates playlists automatically when you move files around (and it did that on your main PC)
So, copy your playlist files from the main to backup and you should be ok

Where are the playlist files located in Documents/Virtual DJ?

Copy them to the external drive to be read by the backup PC or simply copy them to my backup PC’s drive. How would this be maintained across PC’s ?

The best way would be to use VirtualDJ's built in backup/restore procedure
