Dear Virtualdj team,
Hope this reaches you well and happy 2025.
First of all is there a Virtualdj program update, hope my computer hasn't missed it.
Secondly I've noticed something strange when preparing my Valentine megamix. Many of my previous 70(s)BPMs has peculiarly been now registered as 140(s) BPMs and I have no idea why this is. Has anyone got any clues why this has happened.
Thirdly this is my 8th year successfully deejaying with Virtualdj and I've been desperately approaching promoters to seek live DJ sets. One of them annoyingly commented that my mixes aren't smooth enough and they require beatmatching to be precise. Considering my disability circumstances and effort exherted I this was a very unfair. However this has made me even more aware in lining up similar BPMs but understandably it may be challenging because they often vary.
Conveniently speaking I now use different sound effects such as 'Filter HQ' and 'Phaser in this situation to make the mixing sound more appealing. Do you have any other advice on how to even more improve as well as ignoring my critics and keep crafting hahaaaaa. I think some people may be more critical unnecessarily when DJing can be very personal and it depends on the individual on how they prefer mixing. All of us real DJS definitely know the difference between good and bad mixing.
Please let me know your thoughts.
PS this is my latest mixes just in case you need to hear for analysing https://soundcloud.com/jav-992027437/javs-2025-ny-motown-swing-mix
