Topic: 4 Deck controller suggestions
I have been using Vestax VCI 400 controller for quite a few years, but the time has come...
My priority is to keep using decks 3/4 for stems, so the new unit must have 4 decks.
I would like to find a reasonably cheap unit, but only Numark NS4 Fx and NI Kontrol S3 are under 600-700€..
Any experience from users here? Other suggestions?
Thank you

I really like my Vestax VCI-400. Great build quality, tons of controls. I also like the red light for each of the filters when they're off center. I don't like how the edge of the jogs are close to the top touch surface because sometimes I'll hit the top touch sensitive part when nudging.

I've been using a Rane Four which has been a ton of fun. I got mine used, but even then I think it's out of your price range. Some similar controllers to the VCI-400 (again, possibly stretching your budget unless you get a great deal used) are the Roland DJ-707M, NI Kontrol S3 and S4mk3, and the Reloop Mixon 8 Pro.

Aside from the price and having 4 decks, what features do you need? What things don't you like about the VCI-400?

It's not that I don't like my VCI-400, but 10+ years later it is getting old. Pushbuttons not working, faders not detecting position, etc. I saw NI S3, will take a look at the other ones... Thank you!
