Topic: Auto-recurse a folder?
So here I am posting the second time tonight, for the first time in decades.

Is there any way to set a folder to always automatically recurse, or a one-click workaround that I can set up?

Up front, I fully understand the arguments against an option for having every folder (never mind the main collection) always recurse - that's not something I want. But while I'm planning sets, I have a folder favorited where I'm progressively dumping new tracks I grab for that event (from bandcamp, CD rips, etc, which are eventually moved in bulk to the main file structure when I'm done), and having to recurse it every time I add one is a headache.

What I'm looking for is setting up, for lack of a better term, a "downloads" folder, where every time I open it/hit a button/etc it recurses, so I can quickly scan the new additions and get them into the DB to work with.

Addendum (is there an "edit post" option I'm overlooking?):
I do know I can set a custom pad to recurse a folder. But that's at least four clicks (to select folder, change pads, and trigger it), which is even worse than click+R-click on the folder, since both involve similar dropdown hunting.

Enable 'rememberRecurse' option

Thanks - that's the option I thought I needed, but it didn't seem to be working. I just played a little more now, and got it working - it just seems like it's a little finicky.

It behaves as expected on Local Music folders, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't remember the recurse status of Favorites in the same way, unless you either recurse the local folder & make a new Favorite, or else notice that the option adds a new Recurse checkbox under Properties.

Not sure I understand the UI/UX choice, but maybe it's a legacy issue of how favorites are handled under the hood & treating them the same would've broken something else. Either way, I've got it cooperating now, so thanks again.
