Hello Everyone

I’m having an issue with VirtualDJ 2025 while using hardware controllers (Denon Prime 4 and others). I work as a DJ at weddings and I often use the sampler.

Here’s the problem:
• When I trigger samples from the VirtualDJ laptop GUI, they sync correctly with the Master Deck BPM, just like in VDJ 2024.
• However, when I trigger the hardware sampler pads on any controller, they do not sync with the other deck even when the Master Deck changes.
• In VDJ 2024 (Build 8350), everything worked perfectly — one sampler followed the active deck automatically. In VDJ 2025, it seems each deck has its own sampler, and the pads are strictly tied to the deck they are assigned to.
• I’ve tried adjusting samplerMasterDeck = Master and samplerBeatSync = Yes, but the hardware pads still do not sync automatically.

Is there a way to restore the 2024-style global sampler behavior in VDJ 2025 for hardware controllers, or a workaround so the pads follow the active/master deck BPM like before?

Yes I have tried Disabling Steam swap, i tried everything I think is update on virtual if i roll back to Build8350 the problem is solved, but I want to try new features of virtual so im stuck in B8350
 
I just tested this myself and I have to agree, there is some inconsistency that I saw (I tried this with the I Know This built-in sample bank (Non Stem Swap))

  • With no controller connected, it seems to sync samples correctly
  • When I connected my DDJ-1000
    - If I trigger samples from a deck that isn't the master deck, some samples sync (e.g. Nation) and some don't (e.g. Clap).

    If I trigger the samples on the same deck as the master deck, then they all sync properly

I hope VDJ Will Solve this, Like me, there are many DJs in Albania who are stuck on B8350. Because of this, it would be a good thing if VDJ fixed this, so that I and others can enjoy the new updates and innovations of VDJ.
 
In the meantime - just switch to the sampler on the master deck and trigger it there.

Yes it Works as you said, But This is a big problem for live use, because during weddings I need to trigger samples quickly without worrying which deck is Master. Switching sampler banks every time the Master deck changes is not practical.
 
I suggested a workaround, not a solution fix (devs probably need to fix that bug).

As another workaround, you could edit the sampler pad page, and change
sampler_pad 1

to
deck master sampler_pad 1


(and the same for the other pads)

I have the same exact problem and i couldn t resolve it. The solution was to downgrade to version 8350.
I hope the devs see this and fix this bug. A lot of us are now stuck to the old version that works corectly
