Can be done, variable is seen by device as LED trigger.
I have the files made up and a skin for placing poi that will send midi.

I think I tried that one and couldn't make it work
 
Either IAC driver on mac or a virtual midi cable on windows, after that's in place it's just defining and mapping, maybe some script/skin to make placing action poi convenient.
Like I said, I have all the files worked out and a skin, but a lot of hours went into it [plus most people need a couple of hours coaching] so it's not something I give for free.
 
is it possible to map a midi out through iac while using an hid controller?
 
Why wouldn't it? The question doesn't really make sense to be asked.
