Topic: Denon MC6000MkII Problems with Virtual DJ
I have suddenly started having issues with Virtual DJ if I plug in my Denon MC6000Mk2 controller.

Initially I thought it was a graphics driver issue as that had been updated, but after restoring back to an image from 2023 and slowly bringing everything (except the graphics driver) up to date, the problem persists in the latest versions of Virtual DJ. The version from 2023 ran fine, but as soon as I updated to ' 26 the problem returned (i tried an older '26 version and had the same problem).

I have been using the controller constantly (plus an identical backup unit at home, so it can't be hardware or leads) with the new builds of Virtual DJ and the problem has only just manifested, so the only other thing I can think of is an issue caused by a window update over the last week or so, but which one I don't know, so any help would be appreciated.

The issue is when I close Virtual DJ it doesn't fully close, I cannot run it again as it says it is already running, and even force closing it won't solve the problem. If after force closing it I am able to get it to run again, altho the clock in the corner is happily working, VDJ doesn't ask if I want to use the controller, and as soon as I click anywhere on the screen the program hangs and Windows reports it's not responding. It makes no difference whether I use video or not, except if I do use video, the video window doesn't close when VDJ shuts down, but even if I don't use video VDJ does not shutdown properly. Unplugging the controller at this point makes no difference, the only way to resolve this is a complete reboot.

This is itself would be OK except I have had 2 "Your computer has run into problems" and restarted since this issue arose. This may have been caused by me trying to roll back video drivers and then doing a system restore when that didn't work, but atm I am not confident using the Denon Controller with these issues.

I rely on the Denon as it is a workhorse with everything I need in a form factor small enough to fit in the venues I work, comparable controllers these days are unfortunately too big.

So any pointers as to where to look, or what options I could change to see if I can resolve the problem would be appreciated.

Thanks
