There is of course no manual yet, so I'm just trying it out and reading the mapping scripts
I have a few questions
Why adding fake master volume to ONINIT? It means that when I use it with another soundcard the master volume doesn't work, and it doesn't seem to make a difference if I remove it
What are the added padfx scripts on the acapella and instru buttons meant to do? I can't really hear any FXs when using the buttons - just the switch to acapella and instrumental as expected

Probably because the controller has a non-bypassable hardware functionality control for the volume knob (maybe it is an internal mixer controller with its own soundcard?)
Using a soundcard that isn't onboard is probably an advanced (not the normal) use case (that's my guess) - so you can remove the fake stuff if you know how your audio setup works and the knob does send MIDI. If removing it doesn't make a difference, then maybe it doesn't send MIDI currently? Any activity for it in the Activity Monitor?

pads look a little unusual they read like they're a hold to cut the opposite of the label as to solo the label, but it has to make sure external influences hasn't already muted the labelled stem.
