Go to options, type "stem", you will see all options you can choose when it comes to how VDJ manages stems.
In most cases disabling it fully, or setting it to reduced quality fixes it.
If you happen to have a lunar lake or never intel iGPU you can also just select that and set it to "on demand". Works blazin fast!
