Fantastic option for experienced users

I’ve run into something with the new 'Shoutout' feature that seems like an oversight. When a shoutout is saved to the sampler, it correctly keeps the selected 'Style' and 'Voice', but it doesn’t retain the chosen Talk‑Over mode. In my case, I’m using 'Stems Swap', and once the shoutout is saved as a sample, that Talk‑Over behaviour isn’t applied on playback.

Unless there’s a setting I’m missing, it looks like Talk‑Over isn’t stored as part of the shoutout’s metadata. The only way to recreate the behaviour is by using a deck and manually applying Stems Swap, or by scripting a workaround.

Just wanted to bring this to your attention — having Talk‑Over modes saved along with shoutouts would make the feature more seamless for live use.

Creating a custom button, using "shoutout", didn't work a few days ago, got a mic talk over, today tried again using "shoutout" it worked perfect... thanks

That's because we do read to what's posted on the forums ;)

By the way, additionally, there's a new EA build now (b9642) that adds a "ShoutOut..." entry in the menu of the sideview sampler, for people who are using a custom skin without custom buttons.

For all the euphoria, you shouldn't forget the mistakes made so far.
The "search_playlists" command still yields only sporadic results.

Perhaps it got lost in translation, but that didn't read politely. This is fresh beta software, not a year long issue that hasn't been addressed. I'm sure this will be fixed in due course.

And this is not the place to be bringing that up - there is a dedicated post you made for that, so please continue that discussion there.
 
Just a suggestion for the Shoutout feature. Add an accent feature, such as European and British accents. For example, a female English accent is very sexy and would work well for club DJs.
