When i hook my tcv up 2 the computer everything works fine except the vynils hums right through the speakers someone already told me to mute the line in but when i do this the computer no longer reads the tcv... i have a soundblaster live and i cant figure out how to mute the monitor so ican mix my musik! help!

make sure you ground your tts to your PC's case.
I find it strange that when you mute your line in you no longer get a signal though.
make sure the volume is on 100% and just check "mute" in the sound mixer and see if that helps otherwise you would hear the time signal through the speakers which wouldn't be a pretty noise ;)
