Topic: I can't get my mic to work?

I have plugged in a mic into my soundcard and I want to record jingles - but nothing happens when I click on the record button, in fact the system locks up. Should I be modifying something in the menu? I've checked the levels on the mic, that is turned up to its highest level so am I doing something wrong?? Any help will be appreciated!!

I am pretty sure that the Record function within Virtual DJ is for recording Mixes of what is playing, not for recording the Mic input. You can get either "Total Recorder" or "Audacity" To accomplish what you want.
 
I think you can with "Master+Mic" ;-)
 
I've tried that from the Record File Config settings and nothing happens!! But thanks anyway!
 
I don't think it's possible to record mic input into jingles/loops. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I am :)
 
I personally found that plugging my mic into my soundcard was a bad idea...cos the quality was terrible. Can't you plug into your mixer?

I Need To know Where Master+Mix is cuz i've been looking for it for a while
because i do internet radio and ain't got no mic with VDJ ... so where is this
Master+Mix button ?
 
Master + Mic is in the Record settings in VDJ [I think??]
 
Yes since vdj v2.1 in records and broadcast
