i have a question i have the hercules mk2 and i want to know what other equipment i need to get the full experience of virtual dj?

technically u can just get some headphones, an amplifier, and some speakers and you're set. Of course this would mean u have to use MK2's as your mixer.
if u really want to experience "it all" (lol) then investing in some turntables, a good mixer, and timecoded vinyls will really let you scratch like a pro. Also, although i really don't see the need (i have MK2 as well), a lot of people get rack DAC's

I'm totally new to this, just got a MK2 console and have upgraded the VDJ to a full version. I also purchased Traktor DJ3 which doesn't work as well with the console (should have checked it out b4 buying).
First question is whats a DAC and how does it work???
Second question is can you upgrade to VDJ pro from the home version online and whats the difference between the two???
