People would wonder what was going on if I had that on my big screen.

Scratching an all that is very nice if you like that sort of thing... I'd sooner play the video and let people hear the song.

The difference is that only people who enjoy it consider it an art.

i agree with bagpuss i dont like scratching

Well, the video of Virtual Vinyl looks great never the less ;) scratching or not... ;)

Fine thing is that you can have your own style djing with hardware and with software:) some like scratching, some like beat juggling, some like long transitions, some like mix-on-beat, some like backspinn.... and some like it all ;)

The real art is being open minded about the art of others :)

Happy mixing DJs, what ever your art is.... :)

Myself I enjoy Turntabalism very much. I find that it adds an other dimension to the mix. But it only works for the crowd that wants to hear it. Unfortunately now in days alot of the younger crowd perfer no scratching or any tricks. But many of us from the old school remember the scratching, tricks...I love them. Gotta have it. I know that for many of us here, after 15 years or so will crave to see DJs mixing with vinyle or even CDs. As for me gimme some of that turntablism over simple mixing.
