Just recently got a MK2 DJ console and noticed the great addtion of the headphone selection switch, however it doesnt seem to work 100% of the time.
If i switch to 'Deck A' and rotate clockwise thru each selection until i get to 'split', in the headphone i can still hear both channels. This happens 50% of the time. Now if i start again with the switch at 'Deck A' and quickly switch (in one motion) to 'split' it seems to work ok.
After speaking to Hurcules they advised me to upgrade the firmware, i assume the firmware is already up to date because i don't get prompting when i install the driver. So the question is has anyone else experienced this problem. Not knowing how the switch works i cant determine if its a hardware fault, something to do with the drivers or a bug in VDJ? Any advice, cheers?

How can i enter the serial number, I do not use the console edition as i im using the full version. Can you recommened which settings to check? I have the soundcard selected as DJ console MK2 in VDJ settings and the output configuration i also selected as DJ Console, i'm pretty sure its not hardware a hardware related fault.

I experience the same thing with the headphone outputs. I don't know why it does it, nor how to permanently fix it, but I select and "de"select it until the split works properly. Minor workaround.

I have been having the same problem. It worked fine for a few days and now its pretty much useless for me. I use my MK2 at some pretty decent clubs in Chicago and its starting to become a pain in the a$$. Im getting paid good money to perform and my MK2 is bringing me down. Ive been looking for a fix for sometime. I've got a pretty important gig coming up in a few weeks and if I don't have a fix soon.. Bye bye DJ Console!!!

acording to your profile you only have an mk 1 registered with this site.
if you have an mk2 , put your serial number into the profile page to ensure you have the latest patches]
im sorry to hear your having problems , i have had mine for about two months now and i have never had a problem.
have you checked all the settings are correct on the Control pannel of the mk2 console

i too have the exact same problem, the split only works with a rapid change from deck a/b
i'd put my console serial # in my profile, but webteam still has to get back to me on that. I used a different email to register my full version.. and can't transfer my old console serial to this pro account
any suggestions on the mk2 problem?

The selector (clockwise) of the headphones at MK2 is:
DECK A / DECK B / MIX / SPLIT
Sometimes if I move fast from one to another, at SPLIT I can't listen what's suposed (live music in one side of headphones, preview on the other).
But if I do quite slowly it works fine. I think it's a hard error, but I use to switch slower and that's ok now.

You wanna know something: I just opened my MK2 console and also opened another MK2 console (from a friend..)..
The electronic parts are not the same!
The main chip is not the same on the upper board.
It looks like the 2 other boards for the audio are the same in both MK2 consoles.
Maybe one of the MK2 console version has a hardware bug?

I'm not sure what it is, but I have a similar problem.
On mine when playing Deck A and going to split mode I can here A in left ear and B in right ear. But when playing Deck B live, and going to split mode i hear B softly in left ear and more loudly in right ear.
I have to switch all the way to Deck A and then take off the headphones from my right ear. Pretty annoying and not why I bought the Mk2. If anyone has a solution I'd love to hear it...but I think that switching between them quickly is only going to invite a break in the console..
Any other thoughts? Anyone ask Hercules yet? I'm going to write them now to see if they have an answer.

"Hello, my name is Judith and I'm a substandard user" of VDJ Pro. I'm needing more advice from a genius VDJer re: previewing with headphones.
Could it be this, that, the other thing? I've tried so many. . . I've searched the forums, and so far still unable to use the console to preview. The headphone button doesn't work . . . What am i missing?
I have excellent equipment: Echo Indigo DJ external soundcard, a Dell laptop that works with other programs fine, and VDJ Pro.
I configured my Echo Indigo DJ soundcard in XP to 5.1 (surround sound).
Lately, I've been trying different configurations in VDJ with varying results.
When I configure the sound card in VDJ to work with the Hercules console, I can't hear anything, checking the "headphones on 4.1" button or not, nothing. In fact, the records in VDJ don't even spin.
When I configure the sound card in VDJ "advanced configuration" i get it to work with my sound card. Which is OK, but I want to be able to mix with the Hercules console. Pluse, sometimes VDJ suddenly flips out and the records spin around really fast. Other times, when I am playing one track, and put another track on the opposite deck, everything stops! Why is that?
I want to be able to mix with the console. Now, I have to flip on and off channels in my sound card with my mouse, rather than looking sweet doing my DJ schtick on the console. How can i preview with the headphone button?
Echo Indigo DJ also works with the configuration that looks like two sound cards connected to headphones and a speaker, but here too I'm unable to preview the mix using my Hercules console.
I may be a substandard DJ, but I would like to be a VDJing goddess giving VDJ major props, if I could only figure this out.
Thank you for your time and kind attention!
