I had a PC built by a user of this forum (identical spec check his blog!) who is known as Tophouse.
I have a Maya Ex7 and when I downloaded the latest drivers and installed them I get skipping. So I've rolled back the driver and use the one which is incorporated in XP.
The skipping disappears.
I told Tophouse this and he replied
'You may find that the xp driver doesn't give you full ASIO support so it wont split the channels properly. I've seen issues with stuttering audio and maya's on the VDJ forum somewhere so try a search on there.'
I have searched but came up with nothing.
So has anyone had issues with using the XP drivers not giving full ASIO support? What does he mean by this?
I would ask Tophouse again but he's a bit busy!
