Topic: TCV bypass alternative

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I tried out a cheap phono preamp as an alternative to using the "timecode bypass" function in VDJ, and also as an alternative to splitting the signal with RCA cables. The timecode bypass function created a very high-pitched, distorted signal when using regular vinyl. Splitting the cables greatly reduced the signal to both the soundcard for TCV and the analog signal for regular vinyl, which caused errors with TCV and made regular vinyl sound weak and deflated. So I got 2 of these:

I sent the 1/4" output directly to the mixer at line level for regular vinyl, and the R/L RCA output to the soundcard input for TCV (4 channels on the mixer required for this) -- now I get a TCV signal of 100% almost all the time, and regular vinyl sounds great! Highly recommend it as a cheap way to improve the signal if you want to play both TCV and regular vinyl...
