i am configuring my system to run on midi, mostly on external devices, so i can operate light jockey and virtual dj at the same time,
im looking at using a couple different m audio pieces such as
uc-33e - http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/UC33e-main.html
or
x session - http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/XSession-main.html
i know light jockey loves midi, i just need to know about virtual dj
#1 how many of the vdj functions are midi assignable
#2 what are their values or are they fully assignable
thank you in advance

I am using M-Audi Trigger Finger midi controller with VDJ with no problem. That said version 3.4 midi does not support all possible midi notes and my Faderfox controller is not yet fully supported. I found that most faders and buttons work just fine, it's the 360 degree knobs it's having trouble with. The upcoming VDJ version 4 should have an upgraded midi support.

Most MIDI controllers should work fine with VDJ, but current limitations in the MIDI support will mean that you may have problems with conflicts between buttons and knobs/sliders and jogwheels will not work. MIDI support should be improved in VDJ v4.0 and beyond.
Anything that can be mapped as a keyboard shortcut (Most VDJ functions) can also be mapped to a MIDI controlller.
