Topic: How to import databse from 3.4 to 4.0?

Can someone be so kind and explain how to import the VDJ 3.4 database to the database of VDJ 4.0?

Well, I haven't tried it myself yet, so i'm not sure, but i reckon you would just copy and paste?

yupp.. thats just it;)

The VDJ3.4 database >> vdjdatabase.xml

The VDJ4 databse >> vdjdatabase(your windows account name).xml

Just copy the 3.4 database over the 4.0 (making sure it has the full name as descibed above)

uuuhhmm... another thing.... oone of my TCVs seems to be running time strech, the other one does not...thats weird :-) any idea? xD
 
yes.. look in the skin, for the KEYLOCK button, and turn if off..

On some PC's it seems that VDJ starts with keylock on for one deck as default (including my PC)

Just turn it off;) in skin

ok i did the same thing and I lost my playlists from itunes and vj3. how do I get them back?
 
Thanks for posting this up, I was wandering the same thing and voala it's back to regular database!
VDJ 4.0---> Greatest thing since VDJ started. Yes that means that even the older versions are better than sliced bread.

I was at a bar tonight not working, but the dj there i showed him 4.0 and i think i converted a pcdj guy to VDJ. just showing him what i could do and how well. compared to his pcdj.

Just add the playlist folder as favorite (its located inside your Virtual DJ install, called "playlists")
That way you have it all back, in VDJ4;)
 
IMPORTANT: all favorite folders and the new "virual folders" are stored now in the xml database file. In 3.4 was stored in registry.

BIG advantage: mobility and unlimited folders now...
In 3.4 favorites was limited to 10..

Let's start focus on the hidden goodies this update has...
 
I hope there's a hidden goody that allows a photo slideshow to AUTOMATICALLY run when no video is present as 3.4 did. It's looking like I have to manually turn this on/off constantly. Please tell me I'm wrong.
