Please Help and keep in mind I am a newbie to all this. I’m using the Hercules DJ console MK1 and can’t seem to scratch and do spin backs with the jog wheel, all it does is slow down or speed up the track. Is there a setting I have to have on to enable me to scratch? I’m using the supplied virtual dj software.

please update your profile that you get DJC icon. then you have to go to settings and under remote cntrolls, there you have function to enable "use jog wheels to scratch" or something like this. Enable it and scratch ;)

I don't think DJC 1 users get an Icon , thats only for the second edition the first console didnt have a serial

yes, but there is detection tool at profile. I have an icon ;)

well there used to be a detection tool... But its gone by the wind ;)
So no more detection of mk1, only mk2 (by entering serial)
