Im not one to use VDJ's internal mixer / crossfader as its all outputting to a real thing.
But since the introduction of Video mixing I'll like to have a traditional crossfader to control VDJ's slider.
I'm not interested in the Hercules and others with have the all in one package.
Does anyone know of a standalone usb/midi crossfader only that will work with VDJ ...

Well, if you can live with a few extra buttons (that you can map for features of VDJ)

I second that suggestion. I just got mine about two weeks ago and I wanted to slap myself for ever waiting! It's easy to configue give you alot of creative leg room on what you want to control in VDJ. If you are in the US check out http://www.floridamusicco.com/proddetail~prod~xsession.htm - click on BUY they have them for $107ea.

xuan,
I am not sure about version 4, but in version 3.x ordinary USB joystick worked as croxxfader.
Just hold the button 1 and move the X-axis.
It was not neccesary to map anything for me. it just worked.
