Hi,

Thanks for any help from those who have experience in doing this...

I would like to use my laptop with music video (.vob) and .wav files and use an extrnal HD. Do you expect any problems becuase it is external?

I wanted to use Firewire 800- any comments on this?

WIll this be much different (speed) than coming straight off my hardrive?

The external will be a Western Difital My Book Pro Edition 500GB Triple Interface External Hard Drive

If it is Firewire or USB 2.0 it should work as fast as internal HD, no difference.
