I've searched for these problems, but can't find a solution. I don't know if they're related to the DJ Console, or Virtual DJ, but I did not have these problems with 3.x, so must assume it's VDJ.
1 - The EQ's don't function when monitoring incoming tunes with headphones.
2 - I've just installed 4.1 and I get this weird rumble when I use any of the EQ's on the DJ Console. Again, I never got this with previous versions, so perhaps it's from some of the new config setting I just don't have set correctly.
Any advice appreciated! ..... I don't want to go back to 3.x

Cool!! - It works.
One down.
Anyone experienced that rumbling noise on the DJ Console? A "no" would help. Maybe it's a hardware issue?
I can post an mp3 if it helps .....

I have this amazing problem; I dont have high enough a level to actually download the fix for the no EQ on headphones issue.
Could someone make it available on another site please?

Kim

That plugin is only availble for pro users, if you want it you have to buy the full version

Yeah - sounds a brilliant move from my part. Buying something that doesnt work so I can get access to a tool to fix the obviously faulty product.
Whats wrong with that logic?
I have the DJC Mk2 and thus VDJ 3.x - after using the trial 4.x and finding there are KNOWN and COMMON problems with it - which can only be fixed if I buy the faulty software, I am completely reassured.
I think I'm gonna run and buy 2 copies right now!
Get real.

I managed to download the latest version of the software - I don't know if it will fix the problems I have been having - I haven't had the chance to try it out since I downloaded it and put it in my laptop.
The problem I have been experiencing is as follows.
It plays alright for about half an hour - then it starts to "drag" - like it's trying to force itself to play and prevent itself from playing at the same time - sounds like an oxymoron, I know - but it's the best description I can offer.
Hopefully, this new version will sort this problem out. I was trying to use it at a wedding just over a week ago. I wasn't using the visualisations - I didn't bring my projector or screen - good thing, too, as I had to walk back with my laptop, Hercules mixer and the other mixer, which I was using as an amp! It worked fine for a while, then started to do as I described above - I was at the bar at the time. In the end, I just used Windows Media Player and turned on the crossfader.
Something you might wanna do if Virtual DJ plays up "in situ", I suppose - though you can't do creative mixes on the fly and things like that.

try lowering proformance tab
preferences > proformances
fast < quality
and try using ram optimisation tools to clear your ram
how much do you have?

I don't really understand about things like that. My computer is an Acer laptop, part of the Travel Mate series, that's as much as I know. Whilst I can type things out and fix some peoples' problems, when people start spouting technobabble at me, it's all foreign.
I reduced the performance tab to second fastest and set the latency to auto - I don't exactly know what "latency" actually is - and it seemed to cure the problem - but I was using it at home at the time and didn't have it on for very long.
The best advice I could give to any user of the software would be to try it at home first, set all the things to whatever works best, then try it at a gig. That way, it won't crash, slow down and all those embarrassing things that ruin a gig. Different computers work different ways.
I'm thinking of getting one of those external hard-drives, with the biggest possible memory, so I can move my music files to that and free up my laptop's C and D drives so I can just use them for software packages - move the music files to this drive and I'll be able to put more music on there. I saw an advert for PC World on telly last week - they were advertising one for about £30 sterling that enables you to store about 75,000 songs - my D-drive has somewhere in excess of 4,000 songs on it and claims to be nearly full. Mind you - with material cobbled from some 200 or so CDs, it's not surprising!

I had the same problem and I solved it by DISABLING the "safe mode" option at SOUND SETUP (just under the "latency" combo box). I hope this will solve your problem!

Can't intall 4.1.2 keep getting message "must have VDJ installed first" even though it is. ?? Help please also what does this upgrade solves? We are still using 3.4 and are afraid to use 4.o in our night club because of few glitches and sudden crashes.?
