Topic: Dell Laptop order canceled, what do you recommend?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Okay, I canceled my Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop today after reading some disheartening news about them on the boards.
What laptops and soundcards do you recommend?

The other laptop I was thinking about was the HP dv6000t. I did notice when I customized the order, it said that there was a problem with not selecting the stock video with the Lan card.

What do you think of that or something else?

Also, if I get one, does it make a difference if I buy it at Staples or should I get it from HP?

I don't really want to spend more than $1100-$1200 on the laptop if possible.

Thanks in advance!!!

i have a Dell M70 with Esi U46dj

and it runs perfekt

Alienware , but thats a bit out of most people's price range, Including my own

i have an e1505 and it runs vdj great with a u46, and i have even tried some vids too with an ati x1400, for me it was the most bang for my buck...i had a $250 coupon. I know of another user on here that it runs pretty well for to so it not all bad. it just depends sometimes on the many strange factors pc's

Well, I can still get it...
I can get it with XP Pro, and with that same video card.
I am having trouble picking out a soundcard that will work well with the tccd's.
I have a fast track pro ordered, and when I placed the order, I wasn't planning on the tccd to be a part of my setup.
I just don't want to get something, and wish I got something else.

any more thoughts?

No HP for laptop : i don't like them too

For laptop, i advise you: Asus or Toshiba

For example: ASUS F3Ja is very good with VirtualDJ

Of course i'm talking about performance & multimedia. Each laptop is optimized for a specific task.

Most of those asus laptop's are ony available in the UK. I mean they're rare in the states. I'm also shopping for a new laptop. @Djcel, why do you think HP's suck? I always thought they were good.
I was also looking at these two laptops, I wanna start doing video. What do you guys think?
