Does anyone actually use those little virtual discs drawn on a skin? I think they are useless and it would be better to get rid of them and leave room for more usefull functions. Yes, I know there are some skins that don't use them, but I wish there were more.
Also, I don't know why there are so many skins that try to mimic certain brand of CD players or turntables. I believe that this software is unique and the skins should be unique and straight forward, not trying to look like some piece of hardware, but specifically designed to work best with our software.
Opinions are welcome.

its down to personal preference the types of skins
aslo the spinning disks are used for stratching
for those who dont have a controler
and that is quite popular

Not that you could do any decent sounding scratching with them...
They can be useful for setting cuepoints, perhaps.
But on the other hand, you can do the same thing by grabbing and dragging the actual waveform.
Note that my VideoVision skins don't use those.

yea it comes down to personal choices. Most of my skins i try to make it the most functional and not get caught up with the "bling". VDJ is so many things to so many different types of users that ity hard to nail the "perfect skin".
