Hi all!
I want to buy a mix table ECLER NUO4 to scratch with timecoded vinyls, I already have an MK2 DJ Console, but it's not very handly to scratch with it.
I know if I buy a NUO4, I need an addtional soundcard, but can I keep the MK2 as the soundcard?
If I can, How can I wire them to the PC and between them? I've absolutely no idea about that.
Last thing, I have a laptop and no MIDI card, is it a problem ?
Thanks

heya
use the mk2 as a soundcard only onthe mk2 contol pannel enable external mixer mode
dissable mk2 as a controler or u can leave it on aslo if u still wana be able to fade with it
then turn on nuo4
and plug the mk2
1/2 output to left 3/4 right
into the corresponding nuo4 channel

Ok so let's start slowly ;)..
I Plug the NUO4 and the MK2 to the PC via USB
In the MK2 control Panel I choose ASIO Mode
In VDJ, in the config menu I choose:
Inputs: Timecodes.
Outputs: External Mixer.
Soundcard: ASIO Driver.
Is everything correct ?
Thank you

yes that is correct. Keep in mind that you will need to map the nuo 4 to your likings.
You might run into problems with heavy scratching on the Hercules soundcard. The Asio drivers of the Hercules are not that stable and have high latency compared to other soundcards like the Esi u46dj. But before you buy another sound card you could always try the mk2, while you already have it.
Ewout
