i purchased the trail version of this and was wondering if i buy the full version what way i work with sound. on trail version if i play a track i cannot hear the other track. is there anyway i can play one track through a set of head phones and the other track through my speakers?

You can in the full version yes.
It seems you are trying the atomixmp3 version (or at least you enter from that forum)
I'd suggest you try out VirtualDJ instead, its the "big brother" to Atomixmp3, and works a lot better too ;)

to listen with headphones and have a main out you need a 4.1 soundcard
or a usb soundcard to use with your laptop
