Topic: Has anyone ever (timecode length)?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hi,

I really would like to change the timecode length from 12 minutes to like 24 minutes.

I thought soundforge would do it, but can't get it.

1) has anyone ever attempted this?
2) Does anyone have any timecode expertise where you have done this and/or can say if this can even be done?

Thanks,

B

We've informed the Dev team that the timecode in practice is too short, so we await a website update. extending the timecode manually should not be attempted, it's not as simple as you might think.

Hey Bag,

Thanks- I know- it's very hard - trying, but no luck.

Your probably wasting your time trying ;).

Have stopped.

Its not possible to extend the timecode mp3.

Think if timecode as this : Counting from 0 to 1000.
So if you extend, by adding / duplicating the mp3, so that the timecode is double length, it will start counting at zero again, in the middle, making the song jump back to beginning, or worse.

So its not possible.

For 4.3 the forgotten smart mode feature of song playing even if timecode runs out, is added back in.
So in 4.3, with smart mode, you wont have to extend timecode lenght.

Hope that helps :)

thanks,

But what if you'll be playing in relative mode, does it really matter?

gotta be honest, and say I dont know... But I think smart mode and relative mode both will play when timecode runs out. At least smart mode will.

Anyways, particular reasons for running in relative mode?

Just asking... Since smart mode is the software use mode. And absolute mode is the die hard no-software aid mode :)

I don't know lol, I've never really used smart mode. That's weird after all this time. I think i'll try it out. So far everythings been working fine, guess that's why I never bothered. I mught be missing a lot. I'll give it a shot.

How about 2-sided vinyls: one side has the normal spiralling grooves, but the other side has concentric circles! That way the TC would be infinite.
