Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I have a ew Tosiba Satellite notebook. dual core processor & 2gb ram. I keep getting a green stripe on one of the displays. Is something set up wrong or is the Tosiba video card unable to handle the load?

is this full time ?

or just when u play a video

what make is ur graphics card and how large is it?

This is usually caused by either not having hardware acceleration enabled OR having a graphics card that doesn't have hardware acceleration.

i concir

.. or bad codecs

I had the same problem on my dell. I spent hours trying to figure it out. I finally updated the Bios to the latest version and it solved the problem. I didnt need a new video card or anything else.

You said Dell, what model #?? I hate Dell LOL

So I take it that DELL computers are not that recomended? I have an XPS M140 and it works ok....but Im always looking at upgrading, any suggestions on a good notebook to run Video?

Build a system, you won't be sorry and it will probably be cheaper. It isnt as difficult as it sounds. I am piecing a new system together slowly myself. I am impatient and want it done right away, but cant afford it right now.

For now, turn OFF hardware acceleration. Only thing is, you won't be able to use effects for the fade. It will still "fade", but not with the fancy schmancy graphics...
