I'm using Super. I'm using default settings to mpeg2. MEncoder, 25 fps, 2496 kbps, Hi quality, 48K. My conversions are horrible. Very horrible.
I tried running mpeg4 straight with VDJ and it crashes using video out to a TV.

Anybody have luck running mpeg4's? Mine runs fine with the little window on my desktop but when I select video out in VDJ settings it crashes.

Hi Doc Z,
Sorry, I know you mentioned about this on that other thread, I was going to have a play with super to find some settings that gave decent results. Unfortuately, I forgot!
From what i remember, I couldn't get a decent conversion to mpg2 either. I'm sure though that I managed to get some good results converting to Divx though, but I can't remember what they were off the top of my head I'm afraid. I'll try and have another play in the next couple of days, see if i can get something decent.
Another program it might be worth playing with is tmpgenc

Not freeware, but got a free trial you could have a play with if you havn't tried it before.
Any other thoughts anybody?
