Could possibly be a corrupted file.

Try analizing one folder at a time until you get to the bad one..I found when I analizing mine some samples would cause CUE/VDJ to crash.

Your best way is to do like the above mentioned and do it folder by folder. I have done it like this since I started and it works flawlessly just make sure you make a savedatabase shortcut and use it before closing down VDJ. When I do it folder by folder I actually save after every folder and close and reopen VDJ to make sure I havent lost any info and if all is good I copy that database somewhere safe incase later down the line I get corrupted.

Right click on the VDJ shortcut and select Run As Administrator and try a scan.

Then there is a conflict in your PC with VDJ...try turning one program off at a time until you can scan..

I turned EVERYTHING off, i mean everything and still same result. I need to know how to COMLETELY REMOVE VDJ and try a fresh install. Something is preventing the scan and making it crash. It is not a bad file as I have VDJ installed in nother PC with no prob scanning.....help

well dang it i got rid of it as soon as i found it. but i will rember that for next time. the really odd thing was i tried to play it in wmp and musicmatch and played just fine and it wouldnt play in vdj. came up with a blue sceen wouldnt play at all.
big i tried to rerip it from cd and it wouldnt take cause it had a huge scatch in it. but it was one of the crap song off a 95's greatest hits so its no great loss

I am having this issue also. Brand new system. Asus i7 with 8MB of mem. Same files I have been using for years. All VOB files. Only trying to do maybe 10 at a time and at least one will freeze up the computer. Never happened before. VirtualDJ had an issue about 1 1/2 years ago after they released an update were VOB files had all kinds of issues. I hope it's not gonna be one of those...

You do realise this topic is 4 years old right, so I doubt it's the same issue I'm afraid.

Please start a new topic with detailed information containing:

* System specifications
* Detailed problem file information
* Crash report if one is generated
* VirtualDJ version
* What changed? Did you change systems and version, just systems or what....
