I'VE RESEARCHED THE EQUIPMENT AND I LIKE WHAT I SEE. I WANT TO KNOW HOW CAN I START GETTING EQUIPMENT AT A BASEMENT PRICE? I DON'T HAVE ALOT OF MONEY BUT I KNOW THE RETURN THAT WILL GET WILL PAY OFF. I HAVE REAL LOVE FOR MUSIC AND WOULD LIKE TO GET STARTED RIGHT AWAY BUT DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN.

If you buy the Hercules MK2 mixer you will get a version on VDJ with it. This should get you going.

I would agree with the above log. As a fairly new starter myself I started on the MK2 console route. I soon found myself upgrading to the pro edition which has far and beyond what I really need but nice to know the backup is there should I need it. I would strongly recomend the mark 2 route I have been using it now for a few months and found it really user freindly allowing me to concentrate on using the software effectively without having to get too technical. Like you say, the bulk of my kit was paid for after a few gigs so well worth the investment. Good Luck whatever you decide and enjoy.
