Hi.

I want to buy virtual vinyl and am wondering if i want to scratch videos and audio together do i need a midi mixer or can i just use a normal one? I want to invest in the Ecler Nuo5?

Does anyone have any advice? Im a newbie and its much apprecaited?

well you can use timecoded vinyls with a compatiable card such as the maya 44 usb (a card which has two stero inputs)

and then just mix the outputs of your soundcard

but if you want more control of the gain directly in the program you need a midi mixer

I thought that if i buy virtual vinyl then i get a usb box with inputs and outputs and all you do is plug them into your analog mixer and mix as if it were 2 records? Is that not right? I want to know if this is the case and what you might need a midi mixer for vs an analog one?

Any advice is appreciated,

Thanks, Ben

sorry i miss read

the VV box , has all you need for a mixer and timecodes yes

So i will still be able to do everything as normal with an analog mixer? I can scratch video and audio? Thanks, Ben

think of it like this the midi one controls the software directly

if you set it to work with an analog mixer vdj outputs one deck per channel out of the soundcard

so its like mixing two cd players
