Topic: Compressing VOB's and video streaming.

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hi I've recently purchased Numark CUE which hasn't not arrived yet, but using Virtual DJ demo until it does. I guess they are almost identical software.
Anyway, my main use is to DJ to small radio stations, up to 100 users and also video stream too.

Thanks to your forums, I've worked out how to rip from music DVD's to isolate the individual chapters(using DVDDecrypter). These play fine with VDJ.

The next step is to compress these to a good standard that I can stream to the radio/vid stations. I have a limited budget, especially after shelling out for Numark CUE and half a dozen music dvd's to get me started. So if I can do this for free or low cost, that would be great.

Also any tips on streaming, especially video which I havn't looked into too much just yet would be fantastic.

Thank you

just so you know cue will only broadcast the audio directly

for online radio ,

if you want a basic video streaming station you will need to record your video mixes from cue using something like Cam Studio

http://camstudio.org/
then using a managed video portal such as

http://www.vidiac.com/default.aspx

Ty for the reply. So will VDJ broadcast video? I need to do in real time.

Ok I looked it up: VDJ is same as CUE, only VDJ is online only and CUE is a hard copy only.

Back to the vid streaming. Could I not somehow send the output (which normally goes to a monitor using CUE) to a different PC, with a TV/Video card?

I have a spare system, although its not very powerful (AMD 3000+ , 512MB Presario laptop running XP).

Then use this PC to stream with the appropriate software?
