I am new to v.5 and have a very simple question. I used v.3 and was able to see my entire song database. I am multiple drives and can see that they are loaded, however how can I create one simple file or area to see all my songs, video etc.

You can just type an asterisk (*) and VDJ will show everything in your database beneath everything that's in the current directory.

I think the best way is to navigate through "my computer" (see browser settings, and select "show volumes" to show "my computer" in VDJ).
Find your "Collection" folders, right click and select "add to favourites".
Of course because you have multiple drives you'll have to favourite multiple folders.
This way you'll always have a route folder, and any entries in the search box will be found directly, this avoids any dead links.
a "filter folder" or star asterix in the search box can show all entries in the database as the others described, but these don't provide what I call "direct links", that is if you've modified or moved some files, they may show but fail to load (like a "dead link").
