I really hope vdj has plans on implementing an instant doubles feature. I know vdj has been focusing on the video aspect of vdj, trying to stay ahead of the game. But there hasn't been any mention of adding this very useful feature to future updates. Another feature sorely missing is having the ability to create crates and subcrates. Adding these two features will definitely put vdj ahead of ssl, and win a lot of djs over!

instant doubles is in the features.
You have to create a shortcut through the keyboard/midi shortcuts. It is called clone deck.
Which SSL doesn't have the ability to create custom shortcuts at all with keyboard or let alone midi.
Not sure exactly the use of the crates compared to having your folders/sub folders viewed by browsing through the computer and making "favorites" so they can be accessed. In fact if you do that you can create as many sub folders as you want!!
So that should pretty much answer your two concerns/questions.
