I seem to find that when i'm mixing a track, or starting a new track when one is playing, VDJ automatically tries and pulls it in time with the playing track.
I'm assuming this is the beat match feature?
I don't like it. I've tried changing the settings in options between any music / techno but this doesn't stop it.
Ii'm using the compact .99 skin. There doesn't seem to be anything on there to turn it on/off.
How can i stop this happening?

Go into CONFIG then go into OPTIONS, check the box marked AUTO PITCH MATCHING. That should do the trick. The other option you were choosing has to do with how VDJ deals with BPMing the music.
