Just wondering if there's any way of affecting video in a transitions plugin when the video fader is set to absolute left or right (0 or 4096)?
Also is there anywhere I can get the code for the alpha plugin as it may help with my luma effect I'm trying to do.
I fancy taking on somthing a little more advanced!

No it's impossible. The goal is to avoid wasting CPU when it's useless.
Use a video effect at the same time and detect the video crossfader.
