Stay away from this! This is why: "1GB DDR2"
DDR2? In 2008?? Come one man, don't be fooled by the amount of video memory on VGA card, everyone knows that the speed is more important on Video cards so what you need is DDR3 memory, 256MB is enough for VDJ.
I suggest this model:

It is around 100 euros, I sell them and they are great!

The step up would be new 8800GT with 512MB DDR3 memory, but it is a little pricey, around 250 euros.

You can play also all the games at the maximum detail except Crysis on Vista ;)
In between there is 8600GTS which is 150-180 euros, depending on the model (Core Clock, Memory).
You can see on the Leadtek site the referent models without "Extreme" in there name, Extreme models are overclocked and there is also better models now with "Metal Capacitors" which means they can be more overclocked due to better condesators used on the PCB. Take a look at the differences in Mhz and you will see what is the best for you.
As I said, 8600GT 256MB DDR3 is the minimum you should go. The better is up to your budget ;)

The price is a little higher than Leadtek but it is also faster, XFX is a very good brand, you can get this.

What brand are they? You can search for specs for your laptop model and see there. But, SLI mode is not used with cheap DDR2 models so I presume you have DDR3 models ;)
What laptop is that?

Afternoon Alf
Its a Toshiba laptop. The model is X200-219. Its an nVidia card. I'm really impressed with the laptop from the performance to the build quality. I couldn't see on the Tosh spec sheet though the memory type for the video card.

Most likely DDR2, on 8600M gpu's, since it's 128bit memory interface. http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_8600M_techspecs.html
