Topic: controllers - Denon 2500 vs hc4500

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Which is better? It seems to me the only real difference between the two is that the 2500 has a built in hard drive where you can play files from. Other than that, both controllers can control files off an external hardrive or laptop and both have the option to add a dual cd draw as a back up or to play 4 sources at once. Unless I'm missing something, the built in harddrive on the 2500 seems to be the only real difference. Oh and the controls are laid out a little differntly between the two especially the display on the 2500 which is one central disply cut in two for both decks as opposed to the 4500's 2 seperate displays.
I know Denon recently upgraded the firmware on the 4500 so that it now natively supports VDJ. Did they do the same for the 2500, or do you still need to manually map it through midi?

The HC4500 is better. Eventhough it doesnt have a hard drive like the 2500, it has better features like the function keys. The function keyes are good for cue points. the 2500 at first was selling for 899 but due to lack of sales, it dropped to 699 now. The HC4500 is the more preffred to buy since most people like searching for music files on a bigger screen like a laptop than using a small screen. The 4500 has 2 screens and the 2500 doesnt.

I agree that. I prefer the 4500 over the 2500. But dont forget that the 2500 can save you in a gig if your computer crash.

I'm waiting for the pioneer I've decided, i was going to get the RMX but it's not rackmount. Does anyone know if the pioneer has a sound card?

The HC4500 can save you from crashing also. Just add the 4000 or the 4500 cd player..
