can you do that with time codes? I'm not so sure about that... you have to do that manually or with a assignable midi mixer/controller of some sort.

Yeah only if you have their mixer....
Look, if you intend to control VirtualDJ by the mixer's crossfader then the mixer needs to be a MIDI capable mixer. There are plenty of posts on the forums that talks about this. Some are the DJM-800, EVO 5, NUO 4, etc. Then you can hook the crossfader to the software through the MIDI and control the internal video crossfader. OH, and none of those mixers work with SSL-V <;-(

oh I see... so if u plan on doing videos, just get another piece of hardware and connect it inseries, or just use that controller

You can also use keyboard shortcuts, left and right arrows look good to me.

You could also use something like the Numark Total Control (Which is purely a Midi controller) in addition to your normal mixer.
You can also use the NTC to slect and adjust VDJ's samples, transitions & effects.
This method would mean you're using your standard mixer for crossfading the Audio element of the Video and the NTC for crossfading the visual element of the video, although obviously this may not be ideal for some people.
It all depends on your budget and what you feel comfortable with.
