Thanks for your help but I tried everything if you read other topics about this.
Now I don't use hardware acceleration and then there are no freezings problems.
I don't want to spend more time on this problem.
I only want to help others who have this problem also.

I don't relax if a VIP member (who must know better) gives me an answer like this.

Who gives him the right to say that the problem is me when it's on 4 laptops of me ?
Therefore I have the right to call him that way.
And in front of him I say it again and again if he wants (wants with one s ?)
It's not the way to solve topics by saying that it's the person who makes the problem.

p.s.: Man and his.....I'm from holland. Try to make a letter in Dutch without any faults.
 
IMHO after 4 lappys one would think that at least 1 would have worked. I still think it is a codec issue or somethin. I dont know as I dont own a lappy, but I have seen in the past this same issue. Try the K Lite codec pack, or even try switching your video codec in VDJ over to Windows Media Player instead of VDJs.

That's one of the things we think that it could be the problem. The problem with Directx10 and the videocards.
But I guess that there are people who have a videocard that is made for directx10 that doesn't have the problem.

Maybe somebody can give a good answer about this
 
Gentlemen, I know I am not for everybody. If you don't laugh at my post, I WAS NOT TALKING TO YOU, or it is serious. Nobody laughs at every joke, that the comedian tells. That post was serious. I did not make light of his issue. Every month, this guy comes here with a different laptop. He has done a whole lot of stuff, before he ask for help. Re-install this, Vista with XP drivers, codecs from here, drivers from there. I just think he moves too fast. I was telling him what I think. I was also telling him that my shit works. So the question is, why does it work for me, and others, and not him? I feel for the guy. I said, there is no way he could be having that much bad luck. If you will go back and look at all the times he has posted, with this laptop or that laptop, I have tried to help him. The problem is, I am confused when I wake up, so throw in 4 different laptops, and I am done.

Again, how is it he has this much bad luck? It can't be that, it has to be something he is or is not doing. I could be wrong.

So you are from Holland. Is it possible you are translating my words incorrectly?

I will forget what you say.
So it's making me angry when other people only saying that I was trying too many things at a time or Vista with XP drivers (hello goodmorning) or that it was me who's making the problems.

Why don't you mention the people where it DOESN'T work.
When nobody could gives me a solution, I tried everything that was possible for me.
I posted everything what I did ofcourse for myself but also for other people to help.
I'm a Microsoft Certified System Engineer 2003. I mean to say with this that I have some knowlegde about computers.
As an analyst I changed one thing, rebooted, look if it works. If it didn't work then bring it back the way it was.
Then try another change and so on....


I know a lott now about this problem but until there's no solution I want to help other people and prevent them for buying a laptop with this problem !!!

 
Here is what I would do. If you cant get it to work properly after trying everything, the best thing to do in my opinion is to scrap the whole lappy idea and build yourself a shuttle. I have never had issues with the ones I have built, but had tons of issues with the 2 Dells we have. I could never get them to work correctly. Now I personally am not trying to bash ya as I feel your pain, but maybe the shuttle (or shuttle like) system is the way to go as you can upgrade as needed.

A laptop is easier ofcourse but I really thinking about this one:

It's small and light, you can put your screen on it and you can change your videocard if you want.

This could be a solution for me or more people.
But for the people who don't have the money and still have the laptop with the freezing video, they still not have a solution.
 
No i c it has shared memory for video. I think I cant read that language, lol.
 
And you wouldnt believe how much u can save by building one urself and actually it isnt that difficult.

It's also easy to handle I see.

And you can build it the way you want.

Keep this also in mind.
 
But I will say this, it isnt as small as it looks.

Have you ever tried the HD2600+VDJ+Vista ? If so, Do you have the same green stripes?

I cant try it because I dont have Vista.

Yes I have Vista and the stripes where only with XP

 
Then, the problem is that XP with that card.

I just read another post of a guy with an NVidia card that has designed for DX10, same issue as us. He installed Vista and problem solved. I dont thing VDJ teamers will do anything to fix it, because its a Microsoft issue. If they only do DX10 for XP would be great, but that doesnt gonna happend. Thats the way Microsoft obligate us to migrate to Vista...

Another way to solve the problem is using a DX9 card, like all the X-Series from ATI.
