Hi,

i was just wondering what people think about the upcomming release pcdj reflex.
I was told by pcdj that it was going to be something out of this world.

Any opinions or insights ?

I've heard that hype for 5 years now.. .ever since Jorgen left PCDJ ;)

And have yet to see it being released...

"dont belive the hype... dahadah.. dont believe the hype..."

Just kidding, but they gotta release it by now :) And its just a dj software, like the rest.. Try the demo

where do you get the demo ?

Crap company, please get real.

my bad, they dont have a demo out yet ... weird..

But take a look at the images, I'm sure thats not what you want Findasong. Aint no dual deck club dj scratch software.

Get VDJ, Traktor or Serato. Those 3 are probably your kind of software.

ya i've seen these photo shots before.
Looks dina weird but apperently had many other interfaces.

I don't get it.
I went to the DJ Convention in A.C. last fall and saw reflex and heard it would be out soon, What happened ?
It kinda reminds me of their video software a few years ago. They demoe'd this funny looking video software that was more suited for video production and not very dj friendly. It was apparently later ditched and replaced with a much better and more dj friendly software, go figure !
In the meantime guys like me stumbled upon VDJ, took the plunge and never looked back.

BTW: PCDJ bought the licenses of "DJDecks" (www.djdecks.be) which was a good + cheap software. So there should be more to come.
The bad thing: The software was 30 Euro before, now PCDJ wants 130 Euro...shabby !

It would seem at this point that Reflex Is most definately "out of this world". Perhaps one day it will be "in this world" for all to try!

I jumped ship from PCDJ FX, which was ugly to say the least. Although it still earned my living so hey!

Virtual DJ is the best at the moment (I think)

PCDJ have had one very good stable product, which was the original red (never crashed once). Before this I was using winamp!

DEX, curiosity, tried it, it ran badly and crashed. I ran off!

Reflex might be real good, or real crap. have to wait and see, prob get my zimmer first though!

What a "lonely child" :)

yeah reflex has had the same kina "it's coming out very soon" such as the serato plugin for vdj;)

nearly a year later....

Just to put the speculations to rest --

PCDJ VJ product --- discussed in their own forums that the original developers could not fit their needs. Dumped the development and partnered with VirtualDJ for a PCDJ branded product called PCDJ VJ.

PCDJ DEX product --- to satisfy the PCDJ Red/Blue/FX users with a NEW product with more up-to-date features for Audio use, partnered with djDecks for a PCDJ branded product called PCDJ DEX

PCDJ Reflex product --- still in development and plenty to read about it on their website.

looks like they support a third deck!~

PCDJ-DMX partnered with Innovate Show Controls DMX software and hardware to become PCDJ-DMX. Highly recommended software BTW from wither source.

The third player...yeah...it's ok I guess. but I can do more than enough on two decks to keep things poppin. IMO that is not really a selling point.

To quote PCDJ HQ Team...It is...What it is. Right now it is a lot of hopes and dreams.

I only used PCDJ and even told Cyder at point I would NEVER use another software. Well. As a beta tester and moderator for PCDJ I had enough of being behind the times and yadda yadda when they partnered with VDJ. I have a copy of just about every software and VDJ still stands out as the most stable and feature packed of all of them.

I did not have a problem with "PCDJ" and still don't. I hope that Reflex is worth the investment in time and money to them. Once they release it I will then one week later download the skin for VDJ and check it out.

As far as I'm concerned as an ex PCDJ jock of 7 years, the company is history! all the DJ's moved on, the only ones that are left are the really old guys that dont really give a shi% anymore and arn't bothered about taking themselves any further because there other businesses or jobs pay more.

hehe, thats a classic ! lol

Will probably happen too.. hehe

looks amazingly the same as vdj :P

Charlie is trippin a little bit.

gencom: You must be talking about PCDJ-VJ. Yeah that is made by atomix. Think of it as a scaled down really slick skinned lite version of VDJ Pro.

Charlie. There are still some great guys over there and some are in top club positions around the world. The PCDJ peeps are awesome and work hard to make what they can of it. I am sure they would love to have programmers in house that can knock this stuff out. Instead they gamble a little bit by hiring other "companies" and people to make something for them. What they get is a run around that seems never ending. They do have some awesome tools out there. PCDJ-DMX is still top notch and one of the easiest dmx controllers out there. I really hope they can grab enough from what they are working on to make it. The guys are great and have had some really tough crap to dig through.
