Fam,
I'm looking for someone with a complete sound setup who lives in the North Carolina A&T area. I have an event on April 19th and need some equipment for a small awards banquet event. I'll be doing most of the Djing but need a sound system setup with microphone. Holler at me with availability and price. The Sound will only be used from 7-11pm.
Cuidate!

Lol! We have some nice equipment for you. The transport costs would be trough the roof though, from here in Belgium ;)

Maybe its just me being ignorant and all but how do you get a gig without a plan "A"... Isn't the sound a requirement of what we do. You can rent some eqp from a local dealer. Many people start of that way.

Thanks for the suggestions but I just got the hook up from some of my people who live in that area.
Fatkatzdj - The gig is free, I'm spinning for some of my friends. As for doing this, most of the places I Dj at are at clubs with existing sound systems aside from my usual gig at Virtual Dj radio. You right, I could have rented the equipment but I wanted to go with a tried and true system; a dj's setup usually has been tested whereas you don't know what you will get from a rental company. Luckily, in the end I had people in North Carolina who came through.

Well, you should post the number Shaggy, I have three different sound set ups for different sized crowds.....one for under 125, a second for over and a third for up too 500......just a suggestion...

TearEmUP,
I'll keep that in mind for next time.
This was a small gig that I'm doing for fam.
At the last minute one of my people had come up with the sound system. Which actually makes me think, there should be a booking page for Dj's or equipment here on these forums.
Actually, a way for Dj's in that area to network with each other. Just a suggestion for the future.
Gracias!

That sound like a good idea but the problem is the the trust factor. How can you trust a person you never seen before. The best thing is to do like the Texans and other communities have done is post for a local connect and take information offline of the forums...
