Topic: Maya44 Sound Set up....

Ok just purchased two turntables with a numark 2 chan mixer. Also have the TCV for virtual DJ. Yes I have the demo version of VDJ pro. So far im upset with the sound setup and quality of sound with virtual dj. Dont know if I have my setup correct so any help would be great. I am running this on my DESKTOP and went with the set up in http://www.virtualdj.com/support/VirtualDJ%203%20-%20Advanced%20ASIO%20configuration.pdf and also tried the set up at http://www.virtualdj.com/blog/Dams/blog738.html. Neither of them worked for me. Dont know which one will work for me or which one should I should use. Also The back on my mixer has Line and Phono not CD as shown in pictures???

In sound setup I have Timecodes selected. Outputs I have external mixer. And soundcards I have ASIO with Maya44 selected and configured. Also performance set to Auto.

Now sould I be able to get a master output through my computers own soundcard when I have the maya44 and VDJ running or do I need to set up sound system to the output of the mixer to hear the master or final ouput...

Its driving me crazy im thinking my mixer doesnt work...and its brand new.

The output of your mixer should go to your amp and your mixer should be set on Line not Phono. 4 RCA plugs from your TT's two the 1 & 2 channell inputs on the Maya, the 3&4 on the maya output to line 1 and 2 of your mixer, your mixer output to your amp.
 
So I have my TT hooked up to analog in 1+2 in on the maya, and the analog out 1+2 to the line of my mixer?

Will I be able to get a master out through my computer/soundcard or the only way through the master out on my mixer.

Why do you want the master out to your computer? Are you trying to play from your computer speakers? Someone else will have to answer, haven't tried it.
 
Yeah wanted to master out through my desktop, but if I cant I have to get something else but thanks for the help.
 
go search DJ socross on youtube. it will show you how to set up the timecodes for vdj. he uses a serato sound card but its set up the same way with the maya 44
