Topic: Virtual Vinyl built into a mixer?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I know this is probably a better question for a forum at a hardware manufacture but I'm wondering if anyone has heard of a manufacture like Numark making a mixer with Virtual Vinyl or something that is compatible with VDJ built into the mixer.

I bought Numarks DJ/IO which passes audio over USB. I had to get a different soundcard because I was getting audio dropouts no matter what I did with the settings. Right now I'm running Total Control with Cue LE 4 supported by a nice Echo DJ/IO sound card. It works flawlessly with VDJ but I've got to get my hands on some timecoded vinyl.

I'm asking this question about the mixer because passing audio over usb scares the shit out of me. I've had a great experience with Cue so Virtual Vinyl is the direction I'm going in but having Numark's VV sound card wired to the mixer I think would be so much better. I know Rane has Serato wired to their mixer but I don't exactly want to pay $1500 for it.

Also, I just wanted to say that this forum has been a huge help to me in the past and the DJ's and support here are awesome! This forum has a huge influence in my decision to purchase VV over Torq or Serato although I must say the sound I'm hearing through those applications are bit better than VDJ but I guess I can hope for some audio quality to improve maybe on future releases.

Hi
I am using USB sound cards and no problems at all. I don't have it, but from what I read here on the forum, DJ I/O is a good sound card but you can't use Timecode option with that card.
If you want MIDI mixer (which controls VDJ) and Timecode option, you can get Hercules MK2 or RMX DJ console that has all you need. Take a look here:

Hope this helps.
