OtsAV beats VDJ on updates!!!
And incorporating MIDI native support for many currently available MIDI controllers...
I still love VDJ but if they don't get the butts in gear on a real update OtsAV will be used more and more...

Well don't post such negative info if you not want it back at ya.
By the way... we don't pace ourselves on what the others are doing.
If you want to run the comparison charts we can and VirtualDJ still comes out on top.

Looks like ots is still catching up with features that have been in VDJ for years. BTW VDJ has native support for the dac (leds work) and the mk1, mk2, and the RMX (mk3) which is full native support. I'm not really looking for a pissing match between the 2 that was over years ago but VDJ will update when the Dev's feel its time.

Knowing TAO as well as I do I think he just wanted to see VDJ drop another major update while OTS is gloating about their recent improvements (that is still years behind where VDJ is now).
On my chat board OTS is making a splash right now so I guess the attitude is "We could upstage one another's announcements". See how that works ... LOL
I've gotta say that my current version of VDJ (stopped at 5.6's features, not wanting the confusion of adding music over another video) has been remarkable. I can't think of anything else I need but I look forward to the surprises the next version offers too.

There's a few small things I would like added to VDJ but nothing monumental.
What they should be concentrating on is Timecode issues.
That and Guys using Serato Vinyl should really buy VDJ vinyls

You know you're right. I was aware it could be switched off.
I had a few bad experiences in the field with the update and that new feature, and I seemed to have a database glitch when I installed it. Hundreds of videos needed rescanning.
I'll go back and try it out again. I know there's a few other benefits of 5.07 I could use.

For the most part I'm home everyday sitting around and updating all of my music and video files so they are labled correctly to be read by VDJ after my fiasco with DJP stuff...
SCREW DJP INC!!!!
So anyday would be good as long as I know in about 48 hours prior.
But F.Y.I. - this coming Tuesday I have a meeting scheduled with some credit card company and with some disabilty stuff meetings going on here at my house, etc...
So just let me know what works for you and we'll surely hook up and talk "DJ SHOP" and what not for however long you can.
Plus I'll glady show you my equipment that I have for my upcoming I_TAO_RADIO Legal Internet Radio Station that should be doing a soft launching here within the next few weeks... :D
Can't wait to get that I_TAO_RADIO finally up and going...
